Thanks to fellow writer Carol Malone for including me in this fun tour.
For readers who don’t yet know Carol, let me introduce you.
Carol Malone has found a magical key for successfully combining her three passions – romance, sports, and writing in her highly rated book, “Fight Card Romance: Ladies Night.” http://amzn.to/1kI4dVo
With “Ladies Night,” she became the first woman to punch her way into the suspenseful, male-dominated genre of pulp boxing with a tender love story. Since then she has written numerous stories to entice readers to scramble into a front row seat for a power-packed thrill-ride of romance and sports action. Look for her novella “Hot Corner Magic” to be published in a pulp sports anthology in the next month or two and a Christmas visit to “Ladies Night” at Christmas time.
If not hammering out new tales, Carol is reading, watching sports or the Food Network on TV, or hanging with her sci-fi author husband on the Coast of California.
Come visit her website and chat with her about sports and amour.
Now let me introduce you to Matt, the gorgeous hero in my debut novel, “Playing for Keeps”.
What is the name of your character? Is he/she fictional or a historic person?
Matt is entirely fictitious, a product of my over active imagination, but definitely my kind of man. He is an Alpha hero with a soft spot for the heroine in the story.
When and where is the story set?
This story centres around a weekend away in a private country club in the Buckinghamshire countryside. The club however is far from your normal country club; it is an exclusive bdsm retreat for private members only.
What should we know about him/her?
Matt is one of the “good guys”. He works in construction at management level and has been dating his girlfriend Cassie for nearly a year. He loves her, but they are having problems, problems that he needs to resolve if they are to have a future together.
What messes up his / her life?
Matt has known Cassie all his life, they grew up together as neighbours. He watched for years as she dated other guys, before he finally plucked up the courage to ask her out. He’s in love with her and ready to settle down, but he’s not so sure it’s going to be that simple. Cassie has expressed an interest in role-play and the type of games she wants him to play don’t sit easy. He’s not comfortable with the roles she picks for him, they all strike him as abusive. He is confused as he tries to understand exactly what it is she wants and how he can give her what she needs.
What is the main conflict?
Cassie’s desire to role-play. He can’t understand why she isn’t happy with their love-making; he always takes care of her needs. So why is she seeking to try something else? Why can’t she verbalize exactly what she is looking for? His biggest challenge is getting Cassie to be more open with him.
What is the personal goal of the character?
Matt’s goal is simple. He wants to give Cassie what she needs to make her happy in order to attain her full commitment to him.
Is there a working title for this novel, and can we read more about it?
The title of this, my debut novel, is “Playing for Keeps”.
When can we expect the book to be published?
It should be released by the end of August 2014! It may even be on Amazon by the time you read this.

In her own words: I have been happily married to Graham for the last eight years and I have a son and daughter from a previous marriage. I am also Nana to Jamie, Kyle and Kacey who are absolutely adorable. Since leaving school I took exams in accountancy and have been a Company Accountant for quite a number of years. I have always known, since leaving school, that I would write a novel one day and I’ve done it at last. I have loved every minute of the last few months and although it is hard to have a full-time job and then come home to start writing, I wouldn’t swap it for anything. Writing is my life now. I have many hobbies; reading, cryptic crosswords, suduko and playing chess with my hubby. Before I started writing I used to play badminton once a week and the occasional game of tennis in the summer. I also enjoy writing poetry, but that is usually just for my own amusement. I adore travel. Having visited most of the countries in Europe, I aim on seeing as much of the rest of the world as I can. I have been to the US, Canada, Barbados and Cuba, Singapore and Bali, and of the African Countries, I have visited Tunisia and Egypt! Still lots to see and do.
Next on the blog hop is the lovely Linda Ramirez
Linda Ramirez, aka, L.A.Ramirez
Linda had two things in life she dreamed about growing up on Long Island, New York: living in the mountain west and writing a novel. Twenty years ago she, her husband, two children, a dog and cat, moved from Florida and traveled for six weeks in a 22 foot trailer to see the roads less traveled in the United States and Canada. They settled in Montana.
After various jobs, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Theology, and many, many half written stories later, Linda felt compelled to continue with her dream to write a novel. Four hand written notebooks later, the first novel went from a dream to a reality.
Big Sky Siren, the first in The Big Sky Series, a contemporary romance it contains mystery, intrigue and the hero and heroine everyone wants to know. Linda hopes to have Big Sky Siren published before the end of 2014.
She believes life is an adventure and those adventures help feed those stories she feels compelled to write. When Linda is not writing, reading or hiking, she and her husband are often traveling both nationally and internationally.
